About

This permeation test cell is used worldwide to determine the permeation of hazardous chemicals through protective clothing. A smaller 1" cell that gives comparable results to the original, larger 2" cell is available. The smaller cell allows for use of smaller volumes of test chemical and is more convenient for testing small swatches of material.

New Product

PTFE PERMEATION TEST CELL CHALLENGE CHAMBER The At-Mar Glass Liquid Permeation Test Cell, used in accordance with ASTM Test Method F739, is now available with a PTFE challenge chamber. Customer inquiries indicated a need for the test cells to be more versatile in order to be used with more corrosive chemicals. In response to that need, At-Mar Glass designed a PTFE challenge chamber. It can be used with either a glass or stainless steel sampling chamber to create a truly versatile test cell.

Stainless Steel Test Cell for Caustic Chemical Testing

The stainless steel permeation test cells can be used to test Hydrofluoric Acid and other chemicals that can potentially etch glass. Strong acids such as concentrated sulfuric or nitric acid can also be used in stainless steel cells.  Chlorosilanes can also be tested with the stainless steel cells since they potentially release acid.  The only caution is to check on the MSDS of chemicals for reactivity with metals.

PTFE Challenge Chamber for More Corrosive Chemicals Testing

Customer inquiries indicated a need for the test cells to be more versatile in order to be used with more corrosive chemicals. In response to that need, Pesce Lab Sales designed a PTFE challenge chamber. It can be used with either a glass or stainless steel sampling chamber to create a truly versatile test cell. PTFE is nonreactive and can withstand exposure to reactive or corrosive chemicals. The PTFE challenge chamber allows a wider range of chemicals to be tested without concern about the chemical effects on the traditional glass or stainless steel challenge chambers.
